- CASE FILE
High heart rate when standing up, normal when sitting down. Itchy Rash on legs and buttocks that I’ve had for over 11 years.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
About 7 years ago I woke up, stood up and felt funny. I checked my heart rate and it was beating to fast to count. I sat down and it went back to normal, stood up again and it got really fast again. I noticed I couldn’t handle heat or cold. The temperature had to be very in the middle to feel descent. My body temperature would fluctuate from 75 degrees to 101 degrees. My tendons and joints hurt. I have a rash with soars that is on my arms, lower legs, ankles and buttocks. The rash and soars I’ve had for 11 years that never go away. Sometimes they’ll get better but never all the way. They itch so bad the skin comes off. The soars never heal. I was prescribed the strongest steroid cream and it went away but after a short time of not using the cream it can right back. I was diagnosed with something called Dysautonomia which is a malfunction of the central nervous system which can be caused by a virus, medication and alcoholism. The doctor thinks it was viral because my symptoms have mostly gone away after 5 long years. I still have the rash and they can’t figure out what causes it. I also have been diagnosed with hypogonadism which is low testosterone. Ive has erectile dysfunction since I was 24 which I take medication for. I have a digestion problem where I don’t go to the bathroom for about three days. When I eat my stomach gets really hard and round, my heart rate elevates a lot. I also can’t lose weight no matter how hard I try. I’ve also been diagnosed with cutis verticis gyrata which is a rare disease that causes a thickening of the skin on the top of the head which leads to curves and folds of the scalp. This has all impacted my life tremendously in a negative way especially in the relationship department. Though things have gotten better, I still have bouts with the dysautonomia but it is mich better to the point where it is usually not a problem anymore. Still have the rash, digestion problems, stomach bloating, joint and tendon pain and not being able to lose weight to deal with. It’s pretty miserable but you become pretty numb to it after a while. It would be nice if I could finally get a cure for some of these things and get my life back on track.
