- CASE FILE
Daily nausea and vomiting for over three years and a prolapsed chaism into a deformed sella.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My father started having nausea and then vomiting on a daily basis over three years ago on a trip from California to New York. Initially his gall bladder was removed. The symptoms did not stop and he was sent to a gastro doctor. After every test possible and many years, it has been determined that his issues are not gastro related. He has worked with many doctors at NYU including Neurologists and Neurological Ophthalmologist. They believe he had a pituitary gland tumor burst and it is causing the nausea and vomiting. He has lost over 100 lbs and is having some vision issues. Most recently it is determined that he has a prolapsed chaism into a deformed sella, but the doctor still does not know how to help him since it is so rare. He is sick and vomiting almost daily and with medication has had minimal relief. My dad is feeling at his wits end and we are pleading for any doctor who is willing to explore this rare condition in the hopes that he will find relief. He is only 68 years old and healthy in every other way.
