- CASE FILE
Aches and pains all over since I was 16 including migraine, joint pain, muscle pain, pancreatitis, abdominal pain, skin rashes, and more.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My pain all started at age 16 in 2010 and I am now 25. Almost a decade of living in constant pain. It started with some joint pain and migraines. I then developed abdominal pains and had major problems with constipation. Through 2011 i was at the doctor almost every week seeing a new specialist whether it was a gastroenterologist or rheumatologist or neurologist, etc. No answers were found with any of them. Fast forward to 2012 and I had my gallbladder removed due to decreasing function on tests. I also began seeing a doctor for migraines about a month later. I was diagnosed with migraine and began my journey of trying every single medicine known to man to prevent migraines and failed or had reactions to all of them until my doctor ran out of things to try. During this time I had lots of blood test but they never found much. Some positive antibody tests here and there but they didnt pay much attention to them. In 2013 I began having problems with blacking out upon standing. I ended up seeing a couple of cardiologists and was told I had POTS(high heart rate and drop in blood pressure every time I stand up resulting in blacking out). I've been taking fludrocortisone ever since which manages it well. Also in 2013 i saw a gastroenterologist for frequent attacks of abdominal and back pain and was told I had sphincter of oddi dysfunction and had surgery to try and correct it. The surgery helped for awhile before it came back. In 2017 I started having frequent attacks of pancreatitis which the doctor thinks is related to sphincter of oddi dysfunction again. I recently had surgery again to try and help it but it didnt help much. Along with all of these things I also have constant debilitating fatigue and constant pain in various parts of my body including my head, abdomen and legs. I have exhausted all of my options seeing 20-30+ different doctors, and traveling to the Cleveland clinic and mayo clinic for answers to no avail. These problems have greatly impacted my quality of life. I'm 25 years old and I hardly ever leave the house. I live with my grandparents and run a small online business but its not enough for me to support myself on my own, but I'm far too sick to be able to work a regular job and would do anything to get help and be able to live a somewhat normal life.
