ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have was born with a brain malformation where my cerebral tonsils are herniated into my spinal column along with my brain stem & spinal cord. This has caused me to have what some doctors will say are migraines, which in fact the pain is much worse. I have constant ringing in my ears, dizziness, gastroparesis, temperature intolerance, neuralgia in several areas of my head & body, I have periods where I lose parts of my vision & hearing. I have stroke like symptoms, sometimes I can’t even get out of bed on my own to go to the bathroom. Then sometimes I will have a day where I feel “normal “. I have been on several migraine medications, received IV infusions for the headaches, seen neurosurgeons who just shrug me off because there are very few specialists nationwide. Many of the doctors know very little about Chiari and will say they symptoms are not related. This is not curable and can be fatal. My life has drastically changed in the last several years, to the point I am no longer able to work.
