- CASE FILE
I have been struggling for 5 years with increasing symptoms of increased infections, headaches, dizziness, memory loss, shortness of breath.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
It started in 2014 after testing positive for the Epstein Barr Virus. Then large bumps appeared on my neck, face, and chest. A dermatologist said they believed it was some sort of staph infection. They cleared up but left white scars. They only appear when I have prolonged exposure to the sun. Then my iron started decreasing and I was sent to GI doctors. It was discovered that I had multiple webs in my esophagus and it was very small and narrow. I was then diagnosed with Eosiniphilic Esophagitis. I began having intolerance to heat, nosebleeds with extreme heat, red rashes over entire body, some memory loss and confusion, shortness of breath, joint pain, the whites of my eyes became pink, frequent infections. I've been to a dozen doctors and right now a rheumatologist is prescribing Enbrel for Ankylosing Spondylosis and inflammatory arthritis. He has no clue why the neurological symptoms are happening. I have recently had the butterfly shaped rash across my face and my fingers are always cold and sometimes look blue. I'm on medical leave from work, I've applied for SSDI, and am no longer able to drive. I am 36 years old and am desperate.
