ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Hi, my name is Kj I'm 19 and have been dealing with my condition for four years now. In 2015 I was kicked in the stomach in a soccer game and had an episode of traumatic pancreatitis. In the past four years, I have had five more episodes of pancreatitis and countless more episodes of severe abdominal pain. Pain that feels just like pancreatitis but is not and has no clear explanation as to what is causing it. I also had several severe gall bladder attacks and in turn, had my gall bladder removed. In these past four years, I have a cystic fibrosis-related disorder and two choledochal cysts. Doctors at UCSF have been following my case for a long time now and have no idea as too why I am having this repetitive exertion triggered pain. I never have drunk alcohol or smoked and was a severe athlete all my life. However, now because I have this sharp pain when I exercise or exert my body, I have lost my ability to play sports. They were a significant part of my life and in a sense, my whole identity. I had a dream of playing professionally one day, and that was ripped from me by this mystery, all I want is an answer as to why, so please help me find my answer.
