ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I'm submitting this case file on behalf of my fiancee who is currently hospitalized. It seems like the Doctor's have no idea how to help him and I know that his body cannot take much more. We recently found out that I'm pregnant, 11 weeks and I want him to be here for our little family but I'm worried about our possible future together. My fiancee suffers from Type I Diabetes, Chronic Pancreatitis and Familial Hypertriglyceridemia. His triglycerides reach the thousands. He was admitted to the hospital on July 9, 2019 with a 6,000 triglyceride level; genetics is the problem, he has a healthy diet but triglycerides continue to rise, which sets off his pancreas. An attack results in hospitalization for a week, where he is placed on pain medication, insulin drip and IV fluid. During this time, he is on NPO (no food by mouth) for a week. Once released, he usually only lasts 2 weeks before he has another painful attack. With his chronic condition, he has no real quality of life. Last week he was let go from his job due to his absences from work.During this time, he remains positive and hopeful, which is such an inspiration to me. Any help that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.
