- CASE FILE
I have Restless Legs Syndrome except it has moved to my left arm not legs. I have been to several specialists with no help.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I get this creepy crawly sensation in my left arm. The only thing that alleviates it is to walk or pace. It is not possible to rest or relax. It has been so bad that I went for 9 days straight with only a total of 6 hours sleep. There have been times I have considered suicide to make it stop.
My family doctor sent me to a Neurologist who in turn sent me to a Sleep Specialist who is more interested in treating my sleep apnea than the RLS. We found that Methadone relieves it somewhat by accident. In treating my arthritis one doctor prescribed Methadone for pain and it also relieved the RLS to an extent but I can still have bouts that can last up to a week with no notice.
Now the Sleep Specialist is wanting to send me to another Neurologist. I’m at my wits end.
