My right leg and lower back would very painfully contract for 16hrs straight. Now im told my joints are deteriorating faster than normal
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Right out of high school I suddenly developed a quite large right leg length discrepancy. That progressed to be larger and larger until my entire right leg and lower back would painfully contract and tense lasting 14-16hrs straight. My nerves were so on edge that a strong breeze from the fan would cause pain. The tiniest movement would have me scream. 7 ER visits in 5 days and I baffled all of them. I have been accused of faking it, misdiagnosed countless times and I have seen so many doctors. No meds worked at all. I was having an "attack" once a day at the beginning for over a year. All my scans and tests were normal except for a small benign pineal gland cyst. A panel at Duke University Medical Center could not diagnose me or help to alleviate symptoms. Over the course of 2 years I started having attackes less and less down to one every other week. Then one day nothing. Post disease, if you will, my scans were still all normal except for the cyst. Doctors were telling me it could be dorment, it could come back, I could pass it on... just all kinds of things. Now years later I have so much joint deterioration and doctor's cant answer that either. They say "Science just isnt there yet to diagnose me. Im 27yo now and I have had 2 leg surgeries, 2 hip surgeries, 2 shoulder surgeries, a few back radiofrequency ablations then a lower back fusion. I have degenerative disc disease and facet hypertrophy in my back. Osteoarthritis in all major joints except the left shoulder and left knee. I have unexplained heart palpitations, tons of PACs and PVCs, documented NSVT and unexplained arrhythmic episodes. Occasional left side headaches that would elevate my BP to emergency levels. I have mildly restrictive lung disease, symptoms appearing to be cylic cushings syndrome and mild sleep apnea. It seems like one thing after another. Doctors couldnt tell me what I had then and cant tell me if Ill ever experience those horrors again or if what I am experiencing now, as far as the joint issues, are related or not to what I had then.
