ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I suffer from what is said to be a auto immune disease called Neuromyelitis Optica that attack the spine and optic nerves. I went through all kinds of testing to keep being referred to some other specialist. There is not very much information out there about this disease as it is pretty rare. I was told in 2017 that there was nothing they could do about my vision loss in my right eye. I was force to come to grips with the fact that I have a lifetime disability. Now I am on medication in hopes to slow down the progression of the disease and attempt to minimize the random attacks that I have. I recently hand an attack in 2018 that left me unable to walk and function on my own. The worst part is there is no guarantee after an attack I will get to health. There are some people that are misdiagnosed like I almost was. This disease can min mick Multiple Sclerosis in some ways. It takes a special test that does through blood work to possible find this disease.
